Project Objective
Celebrate employee accomplishments with original illustrations.
At Pioneer, a niche national brand offering financial services and education for the military, they take employee recognition very seriously. The Pioneer "ELITE" culture program rewards each years' group of peer-nominated top performers with a themed event at a Disney resort. The 2015 theme was Greek mythology, so with nominations in hand, I began the research process and identified six notable characters (and some alternates) with parallels in accomplishments. After character and treatment approval, I created the art in Adobe Illustrator, working from supplied photographs for the likenesses. I then used this character art as the primary visual element for the poster designs, event materials, and program. I always really enjoyed this annual project and had the pleasure of working on it at least six times, first as an employee, and then later as a freelancer for the work shown below.
